On a principle of simple composition, made of squares and rectangles articulated around a vertical symmetry, Marcel Zelmanovitch created several series. « Vitrail » takes up the rhythm of the "stained glass" by alternating the play of color between transparent and opaque, bright and dark.

Marcel Zelmanovitch

Painter and founder of the Galerie Diurne, Marcel Zelmanovitch has devoted himself to textile design for thirty years. His creative process focuses on the fabric's features and the abstract composition of colours, lines and volumes reflects this approach. Shifting his artistic perspective to rugs craftmanship, he has taken the fabrics and traditionnal techniques to create numerous collections.
